CONCERNS ABOUT HIV/AIDS TESTING AND MEASUREMENT

By David Crowe June 2001 HIV-positive people are some of the most poked, prodded, tested and measured in the world. Yet, surprisingly enough, most of the tests and measurements are not nearly as accurate as is generally stated. HIV Testing HIV testing is generally considered to be extraordinarily accurate. In fact, it has to be this way, because if people were told that there was a 90% chance that they had a fatal disease and had to take extraordinarily toxic therapy, many might decide that they were in the 10% of false test results. Only by claiming that HIV tests are virtually always right can people be terrorized into taking their medications. Examine these quotes and consider whether this is really true.

AIDS Fraud Exposed: HIV Science Papers from 1984 were Falsified

The false believe that AIDS is caused by the HIV virus. As it turns out, the entire basis of that belief is pure scientific fraud. The original papers upon which that now-common medical myth was based were, in fact, partly fabricated by Dr. Robert Gallo. The electron microscope photos used by Gallo to "prove" HIV causes AIDS didn't even contain viruses at all! Even so, his papers were published in 1984 in the journal Science, and from that point forward, it was accepted as "scientific fact" that HIV causes AIDS.

A Pilot Study of Some Physiological and Psychological Effects of Caffeine

By Gary Null Ph.D. Abstract Eleven volunteers participated in a study to characterize some physiological and psychological effects of caffeine in a double-blind, crossover study. During one week, the subjects were given a caffeine-containing beverage, and during a second week, they were given an identically appearing non-caffeine beverage. Data were accumulated based on urine tests and a medical examination. Diary entries revealed typical effects of caffeine such as increased energy, nervousness and restlessness which were observed after the week of caffeine consumption. A medical examination showed increased adrenal function for those subjects who were non-users or occasional users of caffeine beverages. Habitual users of caffeine beverages showed no obvious adrenal effects. Determination of pH, surface tension and viscosity of urine during the two weeks of the study showed evidence that caffeine is an "anabolic" agent according to a theory suggested by Dr. E. Revici.

by Gary Null Ph.D. The opening shot of the 1990s' film GirlQuake!, written and directed by Michael Randall, is of a hamburger frying on a grill. In an Arizona diner, a group of overweight American men are smoking, drinking, and chowing down on burgers, dogs, fries, coffee, and other junk food. They get their comeuppance when they attempt to rape a bevy of fit, quaintly dressed extraterrestial Wonder Women, and the biggest food junkie is smothered to death in a gigantic fruit bowl of raw hamburger meat. One way to look at this scene is as an ironic commentary on addiction: addictions ill fit us for facing life's sometimes unexpected challenges, and one way or another an addiction will kill you if you don't wise up. The scene also serves as a reminder that we can be addicted to other substances besides drugs—such as sugar and caffeine.

Caffeine: Psychological Effects, Use and Abuse

ABSTRACT Caffeine, probably the most widely used drug, affects the psychological state of those who consume it. Abuse results in symptoms of caffeinism which include agitation, disorientation and a syndrome which may be mistaken for anxiety/neurosis. It is a habit-forming drug in which tolerance develops. It affects sleep in a dose related manner which is dependent on the daily caffeine intake, i.e., high users have less effect. Its central nervous system stimulation can cause pleasant effects with improved attention and concentration at lower doses. At high doses, the reverse may occur. Used judiciously, it may be a useful therapy in the treatment of hyperkinetic children. These and other effects of caffeine are discussed in this review article.
